An all nighter=Markus Lupfer treats.

I've decided I'm going to spend the majority of the night-I'll have custard tarts, toffee crisp cokkies and danish treats to keep me going-on my first year report and I also have the whole of tomorrow. If I meet my target i.e. get entire report done in space of day and a half, then I get to treat myself to some Markus Lupfer. Mmmmmmmm

I've found my inspiration and it comes in the form of a (wait for it) rat!

I've found my inspiration!! If this rat can make his dreams come true then so can I. As the chef tells him-can't remember his name, he's the one that died and is basically a figment of his imagination throughout entire film-"you are your only limit" or something along those lines. Anyway, yay, I am my only limit! Wahay-hoooooooo!

They say I'm crazy, I really don't care...

So, what I've been avoiding for the past however many weeks needs to be finally confronted. Why am I being so insanely slow at getting things done?! The problem with me is that I live in an "all or nothing" type of world and I swing from being completely perfect to a complete mess. This was a problem that I thought I had resolved but I'm beginning to see cracks and now I'm using words like "should". I "should" have got my first year report by now, I "should" have got more work done by now and I'm kind of feeling trapped. The more I pressurising myself to do better the worse I seem to be doing and when I think I can't get any worse I do. Then, I look back to when it all started and I think to myself "oh, if only"...

There is still time, even if I get my act together next week, there will still be time but I need to make a change. Only I can do this. I can't constantly seek reassurance from others, I wish I could kind of float out of myself and look at myself and give the advice that I would give to others.

Ohhhhhhhh. I don't know. Just the thought of getting up and doing something requires far too much effort.

Underrated accessories.

I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, Savvy?

I think I was one of about four people who didn't get sucked into the phenomenon that is: Pirates of the Caribbean. I watched the first film about a month ago and really enjoyed it. (I am officially in love with Orlando Bloom). I visited my best friend Ray Ray yesterday and witnessed the funniest conversation ever after bringing up the film.

Me: Oh I finally got round to watching Pirates of the Caribbean.
Ray: Oh don't watch the third one, it's rubbish. I was so confused I fell asleep, I woke up half way through up only to be even more confused.
Peeps: I was awake throughout the entire film and I was still confused!

I think I might just try and watch the 2nd and 3rd one together to avoid any confusion!

Being 2 and a 1/2 inches shorter than a supermodel DOES have its advantages!!

These days Kate Moss is more famous for her collaboration with Topshop than she is for being a supermodel but back in her days of strutting on the catwalk she was more commonly known for her wafish figure and her uncommonly short height for a fashion model. I for one am pleased she made it big into the fashion industry as she is only 2 inches taller than me and this makes me a feel a great deal better about my height. It's not something that bothers me much, mainly so when I'm standing next to my sister who in comparison to myself is only half an inch shorter than Kate Moss (she towers me and makes me feel tiny). I have realised today that every cloud really does have a silver lining.

A few days ago I purchased a dress from Jack Wills, at first glance I thought it was a little too short however, I realised with time that this was a mere illusion created by the design of the dress. My sister purchased a similar one and we both modelled our new purchases that evening. We found that my new dress, although shorter than the dress she purchased, came down a respectable length, showing the perfect amount of leg! On my sister however, it was too short, showing off too much leg and she couldn't really lean over without showing off her pair of sloggs (that's pants in her language). Ooooops!

Check mate.

I am loving plaid at the moment and so is my sister. In fact, she is actually the one who spotted the trend waaaaaaaaaaaay(even before it was spotted on Alexa Chung which is quite an accomplishment) before it took off. The blue one that we have has been worn so many times the colour is beginning to fade and even though this just adds character to it, a la vintage chic, we decided to it was defo time to invest in a few more. Browsing around in selfridges, we found that most concessions range of plaid shirts were somewhat limited, so instead we opted for mens' plaid shirts. Best. Choice. Ever. Made.

After months of searching and searching...

So, as summer slowly fades away, Autumn and Winter lie before us and with it comes fashion for AW09!! The necessities for this year are bleached denim (continuing trend from the summer), shoulder pads (I don't care what people say, I refuse to wear anything with shoulder pads), and lace. Of course, due to the extreme weather, a pair of boots are essential. I've been look for a decent pair for AGES and was even going to resort to a pair from last years season (having a rummage through stuff on ebay) but a fabulous pair were then found! Look, look, aren't they just perfect? Go surprisingly well with a pair of ankle grazers.

Anyone else feel sorry for the guy who is hit with a bat?

I know what the NAZIs did but I couldn't help feel a little sorry for the guy who was killed with the baseball bat (features in the trailer).

(My most popular thread on IMDB, gaining 57 responses!)

My new found love.

After hearing a few songs featured in one tree hill I felt obliged to look into her music a little more. I'm so glad I did, her music is truly inspirational and keeps me going when I'm lacking enthusiasm at uni.

Hmmmm this dress could have potential...

A quest to find the perfect dress.

I'm getting bored of my current look, there's only so much joy a pair of skinny jeans and printed t-shirts can bring you regardless of what I may have said in the past i.e. printed t-shirts and skinnies will be a look I never get bored of. Well, the inevitable has happened, I'm officially bored!

So, a look has been inspired my sister, she has suggested combining our love for plaid shirts with cute dresses! However, finding a new dress has been challenging to say the least, our only fave place in the world has failed to deliver.
